Mission Statement

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS, DfE, 2021) has recognised that “Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential.”

The Cherries welcomes all children and families. We aim to meet the individual needs of all children through positive relationships with caring, experienced staff. We are continually reflecting on our practice and respond to the voice of the child to create a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment. Children are encouraged and supported to follow their individual interests, learn through play, develop confidence, and are challenged to reach their full potential.

In our Ofsted inspection (May 2017), The Cherries was awarded a ‘GOOD’ overall judgement. Our vision is to reflect upon the outcomes of the inspection in order to ensure that The Cherries continues to offer children, and their families, high quality provision.
